Our Team

It takes the support of a lot of people to make Gloves Go Global run. Without the help from all of these people we would not be able to continue achieving our goals and striving to serve more clinics in new locations.

Hannah founded Gloves Go Global in 2012 after noticing a shortage of basic medical supplies at clinics in Nyeri, Kenya. Hannah wanted to make a difference but knew that collecting medicine and medical machinery to bring overseas could be complicated due to expiration dates and customs laws. Returning to her university, Hannah discovered a surplus of laboratory gloves, and an idea was born. Hands are a main pathway of transmission of disease, according to the World Health Organization. Thus, Gloves Go Global was founded to protect the lives of patients and healthcare workers by providing medical examination gloves to under stocked clinics abroad. Hannah went through the legal process to make this idea a recognized 501(c)3 public non-profit foundation. Hannah has since obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Molecular Biology from Colgate University and a Masters of Medical Science from the University of Vermont. She will begin medical school at the University of New England in 2019.

While attending the post-baccalaureate program for premedical studies at Washington University in Saint Louis, Geneva began collecting unused gloves at the end of her laboratory classes. She helped in transporting these gloves to clinics in Kenya, where she and her sister volunteered. Geneva helped form the partnership between Wings of Hope, a worldwide humanitarian aviation organization, and Gloves Go Global, allowing the transportation of gloves to many more clinics throughout Central and South America. In 2015 Geneva expanded the donation clinics to include Cuba’s ministry of health, distributing gloves throughout the entire island. Geneva currently lives in Seattle, Washington, with her growing family, including two under two, two miniature dachshunds, and two very busy parents!
